1. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a bcrypt-hashed password. We never store your password in plain text. When you use the extension, we process resume text you upload and job listing content from pages you visit (LinkedIn, SEEK) solely to provide AI-powered analysis.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To provide resume optimisation and ATS scoring via AI
• To track job applications you choose to save
• To send 7-day follow-up reminders you have enabled
• To process payments securely via Stripe
• To send transactional emails (verification, password reset)

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in MongoDB Atlas with encryption at rest. All connections use HTTPS/TLS. Payment information is processed entirely by Stripe — we never store card details.

4. Chrome Extension Permissions

The ApplyMate extension requests the following permissions:

• activeTab / scripting: To read job descriptions from LinkedIn and SEEK pages you are actively viewing
• storage: To save your preferences and job tracking data locally
• notifications / alarms: To deliver 7-day follow-up reminders
• sidePanel: To display the ApplyMate interface without leaving the job board

We only access page content on LinkedIn and SEEK job listing pages. We do not track your browsing history or access any other websites.

5. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us via the Support form on our website. We will process deletion requests within 7 days.
